Mattress manufacturing is the process of designing and assembling mattresses using layers of materials to provide comfort, support, and durability. It typically begins with building a core — such as innerspring coils, foam, latex, or a hybrid combination — which determines firmness and support. Additional comfort layers like memory foam, quilted padding, or fiber fill are added on top. These layers are then encased in a fabric cover (often knit or woven textile), stitched or tufted to hold components in place, and cut to standard mattress sizes.
